On Sunday 4 June 2023, Dunstall Park Racecourse was filled with colour to mark the 75th anniversary of Porsche.
It is 75 years since one man, Ferdinand Porsche had a dream to own a sportscar. Unable to find what he wanted he set about designing and building his own dream. the dream realised and Porsche was born.
To celebrate every single person who has had a dream the way Porsche have, turning dreams into reality and making the world a more colourful place. ‘Dream in Colour’ with all the iconic colours of Porsche through the decades. Kindly brought along by their owners a wealth of Porsche made for some fantastic photo opportunities.
Porsche owners’ clubs from across the regions, independent clubs and enthusiasts joining us to celebrate this milestone making the day a great success. We were very privileged to have the Porsche Club’s,1960 Porsche 356 taking pride of place at the head of the display.
We were joined by our two sister Centres, Porsche Sutton Coldfield and Porsche Centre Nottingham. Travelling down to Wolverhampton on the morning of the event, Porsche Centre Nottingham and their customers joined us with a seventy-five car convoy. The Police escorted the convoy through the town centre for the final two miles of their journey into the racecourse.
On site to entertain the crowds, a walk around magician, ‘Flower People', DJ on a bike, children’s go-karts, 360 photo booth and axe Throwing. Visitors were encouraged to decorate the bonnets of our two Taycan’s creating ‘art pieces’ for the showroom. A Lego ‘Dream in Colour’ art mosaic was built and now hangs in the showroom. The children’s art competition was launched, ‘Create your Dream Car’, which will run to the end of the year and maybe creating the next 'Dream Porsche'?
We once again partnered with the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity who brought along the ‘helipod’ raising both awareness and funds for this vital local charity.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers, guests and suppliers for their kind support in making this event a great success.
*Data determined in accordance with the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) as required by law. You can find more information on WLTP at www.porsche.com/wltp . For Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) range and Equivalent All Electric Range (EAER) figures are determined with the battery fully charged, using a combination of both battery power and fuel.
Values are provided for comparison only. To the extent that fuel and energy consumption or CO₂ values are given as ranges, these do not relate to a single, individual car and do not constitute part of the offer. Optional features and accessories can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics which may result in a change in fuel or energy consumption and CO₂ values. Vehicle loading, topography, weather and traffic conditions, as well as individual driving styles, can all affect the actual fuel consumption, energy consumption, electrical range, and CO₂ emissions of a car.
